At 25 years old, the self-taught graphic designer, social media coordinator, and lover of all things empowering and elevating women, Dijonna’e Morgan, formally known as DJ or Re’Gine, is making it her mission to not only build upcoming brands but assisting young women to discover their purpose.
With dreams of becoming a celebrity public relationsspecialist and non-profit owner assisting teen girls and women, the Chicago native’s path has unexpectantly taken a turn for the creative. Morgan obtained her Bachelors in Communication from Arizona State University December of 2017 and now achieving her Master’s in Business with minors in Entrepreneurship and Non-Profit at Concordia University-Chicago.
As a new business owner of The DRM Agency, graphics and social media management, Morgan is on the rise with strategic building, learning and networking with many womanpreneurs who’ve walked this early path before. Though entrepreneurship is uncomfortable, Morgan pushes through keeping two essential guides close; God and remembering why she started. “This road (entrepreneurship) is never comfortable but I have to remind myself that I am more than a 9-5. That I am worth more than being paid to forget my dreams while helping another live out theirs. My graphics business is only a small portion of what I have to offer. While I’m building in my business realm, I’m also building as a woman, so why not implement both in my journey to help the next. This is just the beginning.”
When the young creative isn’t working, she is attending church (Power House International Ministries), catching up on the latest sermons from Sarah Jakes Roberts, planning and hosting empowerment events, spending quality time with love ones, and scoping out new releases on scary movies.
