UniQurl was founded by Harvey, Illinois Registered Nurse Alexis Stanley. Her passion for haircare began in 2005 (before social media) when her then relaxed hair struggled to grow past her shoulders. Alex found a wealth of knowledge on the hair forums that helped her grow her hair past her bra strap by 2010. She then went natural in 2011 and has been passionate about helping the natural community embrace their natural curls ever since!
In 2018, out of frustration from a botched hair color job, Alexis began formulating natural hair care products in her kitchen to nurse her hair back to health. Soon her formulations, more specifically her Aloe and Coconut Leave in Detangler, began to catch fire amongst the natural hair community. Uniqurl has been thriving ever since with features in Essence magazine and other widely popular publications!
